Abuse ?

I know someone who is writing what will be an excelent expose on abuse in the church. The abuse she is talking about is the silent abuse that takes place in Christian homes and what is done about it in the church.

This got me thinking about other abuse in the church such as Pastors whose families go through so much that it borders on abuse. God never asked a man to sacrifice his family on the ministry alter! I was told a story of a ministry family that were given a manse, however the church office was in the bottom of their house so they constantly had no privacy! Come on this is not what Jesus paid the price for.

What about the way that parishioners abuse pastors and their families.......

Judgement comes first to the church.

It is time for us to change to allow ourselves be re-arranged, it is time for the bride of Christ to wash her robes, it is time for us to love each other as we love ourselves.

Is that not another point, how much do we love ourselves? Are we able to love others if we cannot love ourselves? Of course not!

Jesus paid a price that is incomprehnsible for our freedom, He loves you today and everyday, He is our desire, He is our purpose and He is our King.

You are so so loved!

Affirmation - Peace of Mind

2 Timothy 1:7
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind"

Isaiah 26:3
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in Thee"

I(your name................................................), affirm and profess the peace of God in my life. This I know is a result of God's grace through my faith in Christ.

I cast ALL my cares upon Him, my heavenly Father, for He cares for me. (1 Peter 5:7) Thed peace of God keeps my heart and mind.

I am secure through my faith in Christ. I know that there is nothing that can seperate me from His love. (Romans 8:39)

Through the Holy Spirit I receive comfort which brings me great peace. It is the peace that passes alol understanding. (Phil. 4:7)

Jesus said to me, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

Thank you Lord for giving us peace in a world that is filled with turmoil and often hatred! Amen
